Happy Halloween: How Cookie & Aapie defeated a witch

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Hihi. Yes me know me too early, but on November 1 2019 we had a great Halloweenie party at me house. Look… me made scary cookies that look at you… and me made a scary cake that look at you… and me dressed up as Cookie Potter! And Aapie was at the party too. Okay, okay, me knooooow! Christmas was a month ago. But me still think about it very fondly. Me love Christmas. The tree ornaments, the twinkling lights, the smell of fresh baked cookies in the air, the cards, the presents, the twinkling lights… Wait, me said that already. Well, me just love the twinkling lights… They so pretty. So when me bunny buddy Addy (@adventurabbit on Instagram) asked me to host 2 weeks at the end of the year for our #plushiecolourquest me just knew right away what it had to be! Me wanted to see festive lights in all sorts and colours. And o boy me friends did their best too to light up Instagram like a Christmas tree. Some even posted video’s and multiple pictures of beautiful lanes and decorated houses. Me had so much fun, me decided to make a blog about it too. O and so you know, only the pictures with me in it are mine. The others belong to me Instagram buddies. Enjoy me friends. It a lot of pictures so happy scrolling too.

Cookies Amazing Campingtrip – sort of…

Hey everybody! Me have been on a fun campingtrip last week. Well… sort of. Me went to the Vakantiebeurs here in The Netherlands. Translated you can say the Holiday Fair. It a huge fair that lasts almost a week, where you can get a taste of different cool vacation spots. It really possible to travel the whole world in one day! You will be tired at the end of it, but you have seen it all. It is a great way to experience all kinds of cool things and get a taste of the beautiful world we live in. So… will you come with me on me pretend campingtrip?

Cookie in Belize – sort of…

Hello dear readers. The year is almost over and although me love the winter time, me was shaking from the cold yesterday and today too. Boy, there was loads of icey water coming from the sky! On wintery days like this, me love to sit in me fave chair, get a cup of cocoa and a plate filled with nommy cookies (chocolate chippies, ofcourse) and look at pictures of the Summer. Let me take you with me on me little vacation trip to the warm Mangrove of… no, me did not fly to Belize, but it felt like being in Belize. Why? Well, because Burgers Zoo in Arnhem build a little piece of Belize, just in their own zoo.

Cookie loves Texel – vacation 2017

WHOA it been a while since me got the time to write some blogs! Berry is helping me planning it out, so no worries, me no have left yet. It been a while too since me has been on vacation. Me had a great time on Texel (again) this year. Me visited the seals at Ecomare again, but also for the first time went to Texel Zoo. Having a Day of Vacation at the Vacation Expo

Since me bestie Berry is a freelance text writer and blogger, she has visited many great expo’s, openings, zoos and museums. For the third year in a row now she took me to ‘de Vakantiebeurs’, or Vacation Expo in Dutch. This expo is huge in the Netherlands and is visited by many people, also from abroad. It starts on Tuesday with a day for press and professionals and ends on Sunday. So it takes up almost a week! The purpose of the expo is that travel bureaus promote their accommodations and destinations so you can find the vacation of your dreams. It awesome. You can travel the whole world… in just one day!

Cookie Report from Bretagne – part V: Music on the Campgrounds & Slide Show

Hi everybody. Thanks for being patient. Here is the last episode of this year’s Summer vacation report. Today me want to talk about all the fun music on the campgrounds. There was music every day. At the pool you could listen to Summer songs, the Kids Club danced to certain songs and the camping even had its own dance. The song we heard most was Magic in the Air by Magic System feat Chawki. The song was featured a lot during the Euro 2016 Football tournament but at the Holiday Park it also was everywhere. It makes me happy to listen to it. That is why me had to use it for me Vacation Slide Show! Have fun!

Cookie Report from Bretagne – part II: Camping fun

Last week me told you more about the ocean that was right behind the dunes, bordering the camping site we stayed at during our vacation in Bretagne, France. We stayed at Yelloh Village La Plage in Penmarc'h. A fun place with lots and lots to do. It was possible to play Tennis and Midget golf on the camping. There were parties and concerts. You could hire Go-Carts and lots more. Or just relax. Hey, it vacation. Me could do everything me want... this blog will tell you more about all the fun things me did. (pictures by Berry de Nijs)

Happy New Year!

It is almost here! The New Year! Some countries are already in the new year. Me live in the Netherlands, so me and Texel and all me other friends and family have to wait some more. But in the meantime we can eat oliebollen (also known as Dutch Donuts). Me love them!

Have me told about… Holidays?

You all know me loves a good party right. Because when there is party, me can boogie and eat delicious snacks. Well, me friend Berry and her family likes to party too. Berry hosts Halloween once a year and we celebrate the birthday of Sinterklaas every 5 December. And ofcourse me will not forget about Christmas! Tomorrow is New Year’s Eve. O boy O boy, that will be fun too. Staying up late! Right now, me will post some pictures of Halloween, Pakjesavond and Christmas. Me had a blast. Until next time!

Me new friend: Texel

Hi everybody. Me know! Me haven’t been writing much lately. That because me is having too much fun with all me new friends on me Instagram account, but also because Berry has been hoarding the laptop. She is a very sweet friend and all – she knits the best sweaters – but she has been busy with work so me could not get any computer time. And ofcourse it has been a very busy November. Me planning to write more this month though. Starting off with a story about me new friend Texel.

Vacation blog part II: De Slufter

Hi everybody. Here is me again with part II of me vacation blogs. In part I me told you all about the island Texel. Well there is lots to see besides towns and sheep – although me really love sheep… – because the island has a lot of national parks and nature scenery too. There are forests, dunes and De Slufter (pronounce it as The Sluv-ter). Me visited this particular piece of nature twice while me stayed on the island. Vacation blog part I: The island Texel

Hello again! As you know, me – Cookie – has been on vacation to the Dutch Island Texel (you pronounce it as Tassle, but you can say Tex-el too). It is the largest of the Dutch Waddenislands. Me talked about them in Cookie’s Alphabet: W is for…. Texel is a very green island and you can encounter sheep almost at every meadow. But me saw much more there. Aloha from Cookie

Me got a new shirt today. Well Berry has been working on it for a couple of days now. But today it was finished. Me thinks it is a gorgeous shirt. There are palm trees on it. And seaturtles. O and beautiful flowers. But me love most of all me new Aloha shirt has dolphins on it. Me love dolphins. They are so playful! Me love that Berry makes me clothes. She has made me some nice ones. Me got a new shirt for the Maroon 5 concert (last year me got one with a pink V now it was blue, me fave color!). Me also have me FC Utrecht football shirt and me knitted sweater. Berry bought some more zippers though, so me thinks she is not done yet sowing shirts for me. Which one do you like the most?

Me favorite Holiday

HAPPY CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE DAY! Me is gonna celebrate in STYLE. And then me must find the brave person who made this day a holiday. A... me favorite cookie has its own holiday. How cool is that.
