It been a loooong time…

…since me posted something on me blog! It been a busy time too. So, let me kick off 2020 with a very sincere and loving HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL! and will get back on track this year. Me already planned some Instameet stories me have written about me instameets in 2018 (o boy me have been snoozing have me), so that will be coming up. Also me will restyle me website a bit. As long there are cookies it okay. Yes it always all about cookies for me! And me will try to blog more. But if you miss me… just hop on over to Instagram and follow me adventures over there.

Earth Hour: lights off for Mother Earth

Hi everybody! Me back here in Pet’s Mews with some important news. March 25th 2017 it will be Earth Hour again. Me always celebrate Earth Hour with me friends. Last year me did the #cookiereportearthhour where me asked if you all wanted to help me by posting a picture of you during your Earth Hour. It was a great success (you can read all about it on me blog if you simply click here). This year me hope you all will join in again. But first me will tell you more about Earth Hour.

Last week me received a letter from little Hedwig to come to Hogwarts. First me was sorted by the sorting hat and then… Then me went to the Common Room. Me even got to see the bedroom of Harry and Ron! Wow it felt like a dream… maybe it was a dream… Well actually me went with Berry to the press preview of Harry Potter The Exhibition and it was amazing! Let me tell you all about it! Having a Day of Vacation at the Vacation Expo

Since me bestie Berry is a freelance text writer and blogger, she has visited many great expo’s, openings, zoos and museums. For the third year in a row now she took me to ‘de Vakantiebeurs’, or Vacation Expo in Dutch. This expo is huge in the Netherlands and is visited by many people, also from abroad. It starts on Tuesday with a day for press and professionals and ends on Sunday. So it takes up almost a week! The purpose of the expo is that travel bureaus promote their accommodations and destinations so you can find the vacation of your dreams. It awesome. You can travel the whole world… in just one day!

Cookie loves de Tour de France

Yes ! Me is one happy little Monster. Tomorrow the Tour de France is starting in the town where me live. Yes it will start in Utrecht, the Netherlands. And maybe me will go watch it all live in the city this weekend. Me is so excited! Berry even made me me own yellow jersey. You know. They winner of the Tour gets a yellow jersey. Hey… does this mean me won?

Ah well. If me is going to watch, just like me did with the Giro, than me will tell you more about it soon. O boy, o boy, o boy, me sure do hope there will be cookies too!

Aloha from Cookie

Me got a new shirt today. Well Berry has been working on it for a couple of days now. But today it was finished. Me thinks it is a gorgeous shirt. There are palm trees on it. And seaturtles. O and beautiful flowers. But me love most of all me new Aloha shirt has dolphins on it. Me love dolphins. They are so playful! Me love that Berry makes me clothes. She has made me some nice ones. Me got a new shirt for the Maroon 5 concert (last year me got one with a pink V now it was blue, me fave color!). Me also have me FC Utrecht football shirt and me knitted sweater. Berry bought some more zippers though, so me thinks she is not done yet sowing shirts for me. Which one do you like the most?

Warm Sweater Day

Hello! Have you all got a sweater, jumper or cardigan on today? It is Warm Sweater Day in the Netherlands. It is a way to ask for extra attention for the global warming in the world. By turning down the heat – and putting on some sweaters or such – we can save energy and the planet. Every year on the first Friday of February Greenchoice asks all Dutch to participate. Most of the time wearing a sweater isn’t extra luxury, it can be really cold! Like today. Me is so happy Berry knitted me a sweater. Now me is only blue because of me natural fur color, and not because me is cold. Happy Warm Sweater Day everybody!

Fuzzy & Blue Monday

Hey there. Apparently today it is Blue Monday. Well, me Monday’s are always blue, but it means something different. According to a scientific study people experience the third Monday of the year as the most depressing day of the year… O that makes me so saaaad! Me is here to uplift your spirit, because just try to stop smiling if you have a cookie in your hand. So, me will call today Fuzzy and Blue Monday (yeah!).

1001 Inventions and 1 great Elephant clock

Hello everybody. Here is me again. Me had a really great Christmas. You did see all the updates on me Facebook right? If you don’t, you should follow me there too. A well, me had great Christmas… but before that me promised on Facebook again to talk about some special things me had seen with me friend Berry. For her job she sometimes needs to travel to this cool locations. Yeah yeah. There see can see all kinds of stuff and later on, she writes about it on her Dutch blog. Me on the other hand can write about it here. So to kick off again, me will talk about the traveling exhibition called 1001 Inventions, the Golden Age of Muslim Civilization (wow tough word).

Me have been away a lot and very busy, but now me is back with some nice stories to tell. Me tagged along to Safaripark Beekse Bergen on November 20th. That was really fun and me will tell you me sweet readers all about that in a few separate blogs. Yes, because the park is so big me want to focus on small bits instead.

Connecting wildlife

If you are connected with me through me Instagram or Facebook pages, you might have seen me hanging around this tree with this huge bridge behind me. Behind me you see a nature bridge or as the Dutch call it: an Eco duct. This special bridge connects two sides of a natural environment so animals can cross the highway safely. Remember, me talked about it in E is for…. This bridge behind me is called De Kempengrens and it is a very special bridge. Me shall tell you why.

Art made out of Lego

Me was at a very special exposition yesterday. Me thought everything was made out of candy first, but then me looked closely and me could not believe me googly eyes! Everything was made out of LEGO! You know the colorful bricks little monsters like me love to play with. All the art was made by a man named Nathan Sawaya. He was there too with the opening of the exposition. He showed everything around, telling stories about all the pieces he made by himself!

MyBeach: keeping the Dutch beaches clean

You know me is a nice and well behaved monster. Although me have occasionally little hunger outbursts when me want a cookie, me is very civilized. My grandma taught me to always clean up after myself. Never let cookie wrappers unattended but throw them in trashcan. Me knows me makes Oscar very happy with old cookie wrappers too. But you don’t have to have a grouchy friend to clean up and throw away your trash.
