Snowy Dolphins

Yes! Here is me again. On the verge of 2009 me and Berry went to the Dolfinarium in Harderwijk. We have been spoiled with a white christmas this year and we both couldn't be more pleased that in Harderwijk there was a bunch of snow! It was fresh - it had fallen last night.

So... Cookie is shivering during this report, but is pleased to say the chocolate milk is hot and the animals that are used to cold circumstances (walrusses and steller sealions) were very pleased whit this beautiful winter wonderland spectacle!

Me hope for lots of snow, no ice on the roads and a great New Years Eve!
Cookie will speak to ya'll next year!
Have a great New Years Eve and a blast in 2010!
Do not eat to much oliebollen or drink to much champagne!

Loving the show!

Me loves the Dolphinshow at Dolfinarium Harderwijk. And me is going to talk about the dolphins today.

Did you know dolphins come in a wide variety? There are many different species. From black and white coloured ones to the well-known bottlenoses.

At the Dolfinarium there are lots and lots of bottlenose Dolphins. They do all kinds of high jumps, rocketing there trainers through the air and playing with bright coloured balls.

Me loves the dolphins. Me have seen lots of shows lately. And you know what awes me the most? That the shows are different every time you come to watch. So... it is a surprise what the beautiful mammels are up to now!

Me like there diet too. It exists of only fish. So all the fries, cookies and pancakes that are served in the park are just for me... cause you know, dolphins don't like all that stuff!

Well... till next time!

Please help the seals

Cookie asks your attention for the following:
In the Netherlands the seals are having a difficult time.
A lot of seal pups have been brought in to a special shelter and nursery to nurse them back to health. But... the money resources are very low.
If you want to help, please that would be awesome. You can find out more about it on: www.zeehondencreche.nl

On behalf of the seals, thank you very much!

Dutch Alphabet - 8

G is for...
Groot (big), gaaf (cool), gek (crazy), geloof (faith), groente (vegetables ... hmmmmmm), grillen (to grill), gebakken groente (baked vegetables), gerst (wheat), gevulde speculaas (filled speculaas, last one is kind of cookie).

But G also stands for Groen (it's not easy being Green). Me like to colour Green. Reminds me of Kermit!

Dutch Alphabet - 7

Me loves Mondays. It is a great day to talk about Dutch words and Dutch treats in me Dutch Alphabet.

F stands for Feest (party). And you can have all kinds of goodies at parties. Like chocolat, chips, cookies... chocolat chip cookies... yummie crisps or liqourice (dropjes). When you are at a party, sometimes you get a Feestmaaltijd (partymeal).

Also nice with a F is Fruit. Me likes fruit, yes in Dutch and English it is the same word! Apples, pears, grapes... melon and all kinds of berries.

Me like letter F...

Dutch Alphabet - 6

Me is here again with another delicious letter from the Dutch Alphabet.
Part 6 is about the letter E.

E is for Ei (egg) and erwten (peas).
With Erwten they make a soup called: erwtensoep (peasoup).
If you like thick soup made from peas and different parts of pork meat, then you might like it.
Eten (eating) starts with an E too...

Me likes to eat cookies... mjam.

Well, that's it for the E, me's getting hungry for scrambled eggs on toast...

See ya next week, for the letter F.

Giant Cookie

In the Netherlands there is a very small town called Madurodam.
You can visit every Dutch landmark in one afternoon.
You can see the Queen at Prinsjesdag in The Hague.
You can watch a mini zoo.
There is a very small Efteling.
And... yeah... me looked like a GIANT!

Yep... me likes small houses! Especially when the look like they are made of gingerbread...
