Cookie & Coral at Dolfinarium

At the end of last year – during the Christmas holiday break – me, Berry, her nephews and supergran went to Dolfinarium. This is a zoo with only marinelife animals, like sealions, fish, walruses and such. We really love it there. It like a day at the sea. So me happy me could go again. It been a while you know. Well, first me thought it was just me going, but where on the highway me heard someone giggling from the backseat. And no, not the nephews. It came from Berry her bag. So me zipped it open and…

Caribbean Fun

Hello everyone. Here is me again with a fun Cookiereport. Today me visited the Dolfinarium in Harderwijk. It was awesome, because there was a Caribbean Night going on. Me could stay with me dolphin and walrus friends until 9 pm! Awesome huh. It was all sunny today and there was lots of cool music, real Caribbean. And beautiful dancers too. And you know me like to boogie. But me also made some new friends... well... me think me did. What do you think?

Throwback Thursday

Me know there has been a lot of controversy about this gorgeous killer whale called Morgan. And me is not here on the Internet to discuss that - besides this is me own blog right. But me is sure glad me met this wonderful creature. Morgan was rescued from dehydration and malnutrition. She was lost, starved, hurt and sick when the people of SOS Dolfijn (a rescue organisation) helped her out of the North Sea and took her with them to the park to nourish her back to a healthy little killer whale. Sadly Morgan is deaf and that makes it hard to hunt. So because the park in the Netherlands was too small she was brought to a park on Tenerife where she lives amongst other killer whales. But me will always cherish this picture.

Cookie at the Zoo

Hello Everybody! Happy New Year! Me hope your year started off great.
The best thing of a new year is that me can look back and recap the old year. Berry likes to do so too. Especially making lists of the things she has done for her work and such. But me loves this video. Every picture represents 1 visit at the zoo in the Netherlands, Belgium or France. Ofcourse me was there with her every visit, so it is a nice recap of the 42 Zoo visits.

Throwback Thursday

Every now and then me loves to participate in Throwback Thursday, just like any other monster. Here you see me at Ecomare, Texel. A shelter for seals and other sick animals found on the Dutch beaches. This picture is taken on me first - and until now still me only - visit in 2006. Me really hope to go back there again soon!

W is for...

…Walrus (well, it is the same in English as in Dutch…)! Me love the walrus. It is a very gorgeous and relaxed animal. And they have googly eyes like me. At the Dolfinarium in Harderwijk me can visit the Walrus family under water. Me love Raisa. She is very curious, cute and playful. Me have written about this encounter before. A walrus lives in the water. Another w-word that is the same in English and Dutch. They live in the Arctic sea though, so me is glad me can visit them at the zoo.

Happy World Animal Day

It is World Animal Day. Pet your pet, feed the fishies and do tweet with your bird. Give them all the special attention today and tomorrow and the day after that... and the day after that.. and... Ah, you know the drill!

To celebrate World Animal Day, me made a special collage of me and some of me special friends me made during me visits at the zoo. Enjoy!

Summer party at the zoo

O boy O boy. After all those delicious cookies, me had a real blast at the summer party at the Dolfinarium here in the Netherlands. Me have been chilling in a hammock… me have been dancing with cute Caribbean dancers… o and me even have seen Jack Sparrow. It was great. Me love the summer parties. Especially when there are so many beautiful sea creatures around to admire. O and the dancing ladies… that was so awesome. There was a Limbo & Fire dance, that was really something. Me felt totally relaxed and on vacation. Even if it was just for a day…

D is for...

dansen (dancing)! Me was cheering in the stands for my little friend Thomas last Sunday. He just turned 6 years old and he really has some great moves! It was so much fun, me wanted to dance me self. Me loves going to disco (also starts with D) to have a good time (as long as me don’t lose cookie) and dance. But there are also other Dutch words that starts with D. Me will share some with you. Exclusive: Baby Seal Watches Sesame Street!

Well... actually this little Baby Seal liked to watch me, Cookie, from behind the glass of its habitat. Cookie loved the Baby Seal and me thinks the Baby Seal loved Cookie too. Me thinks me made a new friend Friday at Aqua Zoo Friesland in The Netherlands and me liked that a lot. Don't you think this is a very very cute Baby Seal?

Up Close & Very Very Personal

Me went to Dolfinarium today with Berry. It was very rainy, so we went under water. Me saw baby dolphin King playing with his friends. And me and Berry shared some Apple pie (yes, she listened to Cookies song!). After that me went to see the Walrusses. These beautiful animals don't eat cookies... well... Me hopes so... because this Walrus came very very close to Cookie:

Happy Birthday SOS Dolfijn

Cookie loves dolphins and he loves the Dolfinarium in Harderwijk. Why? Because of all the magnificent animals that live there. At the Dolfinarium you have SOS Dolfijn, a rescue unit that saves porpoises that are stranded or lost from the North Sea. They recently also saved a dolphin, but he didnt make it and passed away from his wounds. The biggest rescue they did was saving Orka Morgan from starvation. Cookie loves SOS Dolfijn and together with Berry we always donate some money for the good cause.

Cookie needs to take a minute and tell you guys and girls something really important!
Everybody knows me loves to visit the Dolfinarium, Harderwijk in the Netherlands. Together with Berry, ofcourse. Last Sunday she grabbed me, told me we had to go... cause we had to see the little baby killer whale that is living there since a couple of days.

Snack time?

Sometimes Cookie has to talk about the things that matter in life. Like politics, or global warming, or why Berry ate me last cookie... that sort of things. And sometimes Cookie just have to sit down, relax, eat his cookie, drink some milk and do not wonder why that dolphin in the background is grinding his teeth while he is looking at me...



... well... me can't help it, me is looking just delicious!

Snowy Dolphins

Yes! Here is me again. On the verge of 2009 me and Berry went to the Dolfinarium in Harderwijk. We have been spoiled with a white christmas this year and we both couldn't be more pleased that in Harderwijk there was a bunch of snow! It was fresh - it had fallen last night.
