Sunbathing kings & queens

If there is one animal in the Animal Kingdom that knows how to sunbathe, it must the ring-tailed lemur. Whenever the sun shines they know how to find the best spots to sit in the sun, spread their arms and soak it all in. Me have seen it at the Apenheul and me have seen it at DierenPark Amersfoort. Last week me went there on a beautiful spring Thursday. The birds were singing, the animals frolicking and the ring-tailed lemurs? Ofcourse sunbathing. Me took a moment to sit down and relax with this sweet ring-tailed lemur for a while. Me must say, they really know how to relax and enjoy the sun!

It's raining...

They say when it is raining hard, that it is raining cats and dogs. It would be nice for it to be true, because Cookie Monster LIKES cats and dogs... But no cats and dogs were falling from the sky. Only biiiiiig raindrops. Me don't like that. Me get bored when it rains. Not even hot chocolat milk with big cookie can make that bet--- uhm... of course that can make it better. But you know what me means. This kind of weather makes me fur all wet. A well... autumn is here. And that is beautiful too. Even when it is raining.

Pool Party!

Its a heatwave in the Netherlands, but me knows how to keep me head cool! Just take a little boat - well kind off - a cool drink and me fave Elvis inspired sunglasses to chill in the pool. Me only thinks Sammie doesn't like it when me is chillin like this. He started to growl a little. But me is willing to share the pool! Ah well. Keep it cool, me is having a little pool party!

Sunset & Vulcanic Ashes

Due to volcanic ashes from the volcano in Iceland we could see a magnificent sunset in the Netherlands on 15th april. So Cookie jumped into the car with Berry, her dog Bassie and her dad to race into the fields to make a really cool Cookie Report!
The sun was setting the sky on fire, while the ashcloud bounced the light right back! It was truly spectacular! Cookie reported live from the castle of Haarzuilen. It looked like a fairytale castle. Maybe we could use it as a decor for Monsterpiece theatre?

Snowy Dolphins

Yes! Here is me again. On the verge of 2009 me and Berry went to the Dolfinarium in Harderwijk. We have been spoiled with a white christmas this year and we both couldn't be more pleased that in Harderwijk there was a bunch of snow! It was fresh - it had fallen last night.

Dutch Winters ~ part 2

O my o my! Dutch winters can be stormy! Me fur all got mixed up and the trees are lying down on the ground!

It has been a stormy week last week, but... thursday was the stormiest! Me no even could go outside without being blown away! Today the sun is shining, but last thursday it was raining and raining. And the wind was blowing and blowing.

Heatwave

O boy o boy o boy!
All the chocolat is melting from me chocolat chip cookies! Me fur is wet of sweat and me googly eyes hurt of the sun! Yes people, it is the second heatwave of the summer in Holland. Dutch summers are warm, but now it is plain H-O-T!

Rainy day in Hollandor Dolphins in the Rain

Because of a religious holiday, last thursday everyone was free. And because there was only one day in between the thursday and the weekend, most companies proclaimed that as a free day too. So Berry and me had a very long weekend.

Sunny Dolfinarium

It was a lovely day to visit the Dolfinarium in Harderwijk today. Berry and me had a very very very busy week, so, it was nice to do something different today. Relaxing in the sun. Watching all the seamammels sunbathing on the beach. Playing in the water...

Me was glad me had some shade once in a while. Me was sweating!

Snow

Finally! Winter has come! Well, to the Netherlands that is. Today actually meterological Spring has begun... and in the Netherlands it is snowing. Just like last year.

Me like snow! It is white and soft and cold. Me can eat it when me is hungry and thirsty. Me like to walk outside, open me mouth and let the snow snow in! It is nice.

Dutch Winters

Dutch winters are very cold.
But moreso: they are wet!

This picture was taking after Berry and me came home from the mall. When me went to the mall for some shopping the sun was shining. It was a beautiful afternoon. So Berry went walking. When we came out of the supermarket it started to rain. A bit at first, but for me was home me was soaked! The rain was splashing on the ground. And the wind was cold, so we was chilled! Brr.
