30 April Coffee with Krümel

Us Cookie Monsters come in all shapes and sizes. Some of us are a little naughty, others love to travel or are always looking for nommy cookies. Some of us are big, some small, some scruffy and some well-groomed. Some Cookie Monsters prefer to be all natural in the fur, others wear clothes and some are just friggin’ adorable wearing socks! Me – ofcourse – is talking about me sweet little cousin Krümel (from Krümel on Tour) from Germany. Me met him and his sweet parents for coffee in April.

We had so much fun! Krümel is just a little smaller than me so he could sit on me lap for cuddles. We went to Hoog Catharijne in Utrecht and had some coffee and cookies of course. Me even got nommy Jodenkoeken they bought in Alkmaar! They are all gone now, but they were soooo nommy! Me sure me and Krümel get a chance to meet again soon. We already talked about that we need more hours for cuddling hihi.

Me love Keukenhof – me visits in 2018

O boy o boy o boy, me loved writing about me instameets at Keukenhof this year so much, me already made a follow up to tell you more about the other visits me had this year. Like me told you before, me got to visit Keukenhof 5 times this year. 2 times for instameets, 3 times for Berry her work (at one time we had a little instameet even). It was so much fun. And the best part? Me saw how magical nature is, because with every visit (the other 2 included) the park changes in colours, flower varieties and exhibits too.

March 20: the opening of Keukenhof

Every year the Keukenhof has a big party for guests and press. On that day press (like bloggers) get more information about the estate, the theme and the accomplishments of the year before. It so much fun. Because we also get a tour through the park. And ofcourse me can take some pictures with the first flowers that are growing in the park. After the tours and the talks there always is a big gathering at the first pavilion. It always fun, because there are lots of fun activities. O and me always get me picture taken with the hostesses.

March 27: blessing the flowers for the Pope

The second visit was just a week later because Easter was early this year. You must know the flower arrangements at the Vatican during Easter are Dutch spring flowers. That is pretty cool and to be proud of. Since last year the transport with all the flowers leave from Keukenhof. And to wish the flowers and the transport a good trip there is an official blessing made by the Bisshop of Rotterdam. Me think that is truly special to see. After the blessings we stay to wave at the drivers until the leave the estate. Also Berry and me were allowed to explore the gardens again. We went to the pavilion with the gorgeous orchids, went back to the tulipfilled pavilion and explored the gardens behind the windmill. O, and Berry brought two naughty but cute little Easter bunnies too. Hihi.

April 21: Flower float parade

O boy! Me had to get up EARLY to go to Keukenhof that day. Last year Berry was also invited to attend the Flower float parade but we got stuck in traffic so bad we never made it to the parade! So, this year, Berry set the alarm real early and we got in the car at 7 am so we could arrive there at 8 am – it was already really crowded with people! We were so happy to be there this early. The sunlight on the flowers is soooo beautiful! A lot of pictures were made. In the afternoon we got to have lunch at the office building and after that me was so amazed by the parade! It was soooo beautiful and exciting. The Flower float parade had these magnificent floats with sculptures and diorama’s all made of bulbflowers like tulips and daffodils. Me not sure which float was the prettiest because me loved them all!

Visit Keukenhof yourself

Me can totally recommend it to visit Keukenhof yourself in Dutch Spring time. The only down side is, that the park is only open for 8 weeks per year. If you want to plan a visit, go to

Instameets at Keukenhof 2018

Me love Keukenhof – but me bet you knew that already. It too bad me have to wait till next year for the Tulip Gardens to open again. But, in the meantime me have lots of great pictures and memories to look back on from this year. Me was lucky enough to have visited the Keukenhof 5 times this year: 3 times for Berry her work/blog and 2 times with friends for instameet (and one in prompt instameet hihi). This week me will tell you all about the Keukenhof visits. Me start with the instameets.

April 15: Meeting with Snoopy, Pigtailear and Icebertha

The first instameet at Keukenhof was in April. Me met with Snoopy (Voyage of the Beagle) on Utrecht Central Station because we took the train and a special Keukenhof bus from Schiphol to get at the Tulip Gardens. Because Snoopy is very small – compared to me size wise that is, cuz he makes it up in personality! – we brought a tiny me for him to chat with on the train. After a bus detour to Keukenhof me got so excited to meet Pigtailear and Icebertha for the first time. It was so cool!

Also size wise Pigtailear and Icebertha are smaller than me (they and Snoopy fitted in me pockets) and they played all kinds of hide-and-seek tricks on me in the flowers. But that was okay. We had so much fun. Also we had cake and coffee and Pigtailear even brought presents! We found all these very cool spots to take our pictures. And little Cookie me was the perfect size for that too. It was a great day!

April 21: Meeting Mouse Lily

It no was planned, but Berry and me met Mouse Lily and her lovely human at the day of the Flowercorso (me will tell more about that later this week). Berry was posting a picture of me on Instagram that day and while scrolling through me timeline we saw Mouse Lily was at Keukenhof too! So we seized the opportunity for a quick hug and picture. We found them at the Willem Alexander Pavillion at the heart of Keukenhof. Here the most colourful tulips are shown to all the visitors. We met at the LOVE stand and took a nice picture together. Me hope to meet Mouse Lily again so we can spend a little more time together. It was very fun though!

May 11: Meeting Jennie, her friends, Snoopy and Ezel

O boy O boy, this Instameet was one our little Halloween Witch Cat Frights had been looking forward to for a loooong time. You have to know she and Jennie – our little American hippo friend – are some kind of besties already. So she – and me – was rather excited. Also we would meet Ezel and his girl there. But before all of that could happen we picked up Snoopy and his human and we drove to Keukenhof together. We had agreed to meet at the colourful garden me had dubbed the Toy Garden. It was so much fun! Jennie and her friends brought such amazing gifts! And Berry was so happy she fitted the sweater we made.

After that it was time to have some serious fun at Keukenhof! We made a lot of pictures (and got a lot of attention too). We even almost got peed on by a sweet curious dog! Frights and Jennie were also out and about playing Witches of Keukenhof. They looked so cute together. We all had big fun. But me thinks the pictures speak for themselves right?

Keukenhof is a cool place to hang out with your friends. The flowers make a beautiful backdrop for us plushies. It makes it even more magical. Me love it there. If you want to visit Keukenhof, it only opens 8 weeks per year in Spring time in the Netherlands. So check for more details.
