Me love Texel. Me think you know that already, right. Me love the island. The breeze. The food. The sheepies and the seals. The beach… Texel even got its own zoo! Last year me visited the seals at the rehab centre where sick and lost seals and birds are brought: Ecomare. Also Ecomare have exhibits and educates us about the life in and around the North Sea and the Waddensea. Texel ZOO has beautiful birds and butterflies. Me gonna tell you all about it today. Ecomare is a centre where sick or lost seals and birds can rehabilitate and later they will go back to the sea again. Animals that no can go back – whatever the reason – will find a new home at Ecomare. There are three kinds of seals living there, but also harbour porpoises and lots of fishees at the aquarium. The have exhibits about life in and around the oceans. And there is a Whale room with skeletons of whales. Also me looooove the cookies they serve at the restaurant hihi.
Texel ZOO August 17 2019
Texel ZOO is a small zoo on the island of Texel. There is a huuuge greenhouse where butterflies, birds, possums, little monkeys and other animals live. Outside there are all these amazing owls, but also prairiedogs. Me love it there. It is not too big and you can get real close to all the animals living at Texel ZOO. Lambie joined us to Texel ZOO and she liked it too.
