It had been Tessa her birthday and me and Berry went to celebrate it with her in Delft. Ofcourse the little elephants would be there. And a little surprise, just for Tessa. It was yet a sunny day this May 31 2019 as we hopped on the train to Delft to meet our friends there. First stop: a cute little cupcake shop, with loads of pinks and whites in the decorum. And of course LOTS OF NOMMY CAKES to choose from. (pictures by Berry de Nijs)
First we gave our gift because the ‘one’ inside the paper was singing and giving away its presence. Something about getting ‘no satisfaction’ and ‘wild horses’... He also started to serenade Tessa from within the package so we gave it to her and she opened it immediately. Meet Mick the Peacock. He now lives with her, strutting his stuff hihi. We also took group pictures while resting in the flamingo coloured pillows.
After eating one of the many nommy cupcakes we went to explore the city. We went to the grave of Willem van Oranje at the Nieuwe kerk. Our kittycat Frights went there once while me was at the Plushie Hotel and Spa a few years ago and she told me lots about it, so me was happy to go and see it for meself now too. It was impressive. The church is really beautiful and the graves of our royal family are there and ofcourse the grave of Willem van Oranje. Me was really in awe!
On our way to the Oude Kerk of Delft we had some fun near the Vermeer centre, Tessa took these pictures of me as famous paintings. Do you recognize them?
Yes they are Girl with the pearl earring and the Milk maid. Hihi.
At the other church there was an exhibit about the travels the Dutch did during the VOC period. It was mostly about the money earned. Me liked it. Just look how many COOOKIES me could buy with this kind of money! SO NOMMY.
After the church visit me decided to rest up at a locker with the lil elephants, while the girls went to explore the Prinsenhof museum. Me already seen the exhibits there earlier that year about MOJO Concerts for a Berry workthingy, so me was good. Me only went outside to take some pictures at this graveyard art piece. The crosses are placed together to honor famous musicians.
We had a great day together like this again.
