Having fun at Madurodam

It feels like forever now that me saw me buddies Richie and Keith at Madurodam on March 12 2020. It was the last day trip me had before all zoos, museums and themeparks closed due to corona. When me write this (it is April), we are still staying home and staying safe and trying to make the best of a weird situation. Me is very happy though that we went out and had fun. Because the sun was shining and Madurodam is just a very very fun place to be. Even the little elephants are tall here hihi. (pictures by Berry de Nijs)

Monkeying Around at DierenPark Amersfoort

On December 17 2019 me and Aapie went to DierenPark Amersfoort for some zoo fun. Me also brought Honeydrop, our little bear, and a Baby Yoda for Michelle (Aapie’s mom) to adopt. It was a surprise for them! A very good one too. Me was really excited to see Aapie again. He is a sweet naughty little monkey, and me just love him! Me showed him all around me favourite zoo. But first… you guessed it… it was NOMMIES time! Hihi. (pictures by Berry de Nijs)

Fairytale adventures with Aapie in Efteling

You all know me looooove Efteling right? It a fun magical themepark in the Netherlands. There are thrill rides (me no like those), fun rides (me looooove those) and a Fairytale Forest where the house of the witch from Hans and Gretl live. Me always want to take a bit out of that *drools* nommy *dreams away*… house… *sigh* So, me and me buddy Aapie went to the Efteling on June 27 2019 and boy did we have a blast! First we picked up Aapie and his sweet human up from the train station and then we had the bestest road trip to the Efteling where the fun started immediately. (pictures by Berry de Nijs)

Visiting Artis in January

This year me already have visited many zoos. In January Berry and me – well, mostly Berry – needed to clear her mind so we went to Artis in Amsterdam (it also known as Amsterdam Zoo). It was January 30 when we went. Although it was winter time, it surely felt like a spring day. Me was really excited to go to Artis, because me never been there before. The last time Berry was there she was just a little girl. So… it was about time to experience this zoo together.

Us Cookie Monsters come in all shapes and sizes. Some of us are a little naughty, others love to travel or are always looking for nommy cookies. Some of us are big, some small, some scruffy and some well-groomed. Some Cookie Monsters prefer to be all natural in the fur, others wear clothes and some are just friggin’ adorable wearing socks! Me – ofcourse – is talking about me sweet little cousin Krümel (from Krümel on Tour) from Germany. Me met him and his sweet parents for coffee in April.

Me love Keukenhof – me visits in 2018

O boy o boy o boy, me loved writing about me instameets at Keukenhof this year so much, me already made a follow up to tell you more about the other visits me had this year. Like me told you before, me got to visit Keukenhof 5 times this year. 2 times for instameets, 3 times for Berry her work (at one time we had a little instameet even). It was so much fun. And the best part? Me saw how magical nature is, because with every visit (the other 2 included) the park changes in colours, flower varieties and exhibits too.

Visiting DierenPark Amersfoort with Bamboo, Richie, Keith & Woody

Hi everybody! Me back with another instameet story. After visiting Blijdorp together, we now decided to take our humans to DierenPark Amersfoort. Me love that zoo and me come there a lot (Berry has a season pass so…hihi)! Me, lil Bamboo and Berry decided to pick up Tessa and our lil friends at Utrecht Central Station. Then we drove by car to the zoo for some fun adventures.

I went to the zoo – a blog by Hope

I went on an adventurous assignment to the Fort Worth Zoo earlier in May. I had never been to a zoo before. It was a warm day and we had packed our lunch with peanut butter and grape jelly sandwiches, ginger ale and some fruit and a package of Oreo cookies. I was hungry as soon as we arrived, but I’m always hungry. This zoo was founded in 1909 and when it opened it had a lion, 2 bear cubs, a peacock, an alligator, a rabbit and a coyote. It now has 435 species and does conservation work and is listed as a top zoo in the USA. It spans 64 acres.

A whole weekend with friends

Instameets are awesome! After having fun with Richie & Keith and with Jaques & Jaqueline me had a whole weekend of Intstameet fun waiting for me in March. We had a Dutch meet-up with coffee and lunch on March 3 and on March 4 me met up with Snoopy and his lovely Tour de France Nijntje friend. So without further ado, let me tell you more about it!

Cookie & Coral meet Jaques & Jaqueline

After meeting up with Richie & Keith in January, our calender filled up with all kinds of cool instameets! On February 12 lil Coral and me went to Amsterdam to meet our sweet German friends Jaques, Jaqueline, Di-Lu, Peter and Ben – and their humom ofcourse! Coral was sooooo excited to see Di-Lu again! They are family you know. Coral was a gift from Jaques and Jaqueline to our family a few years ago. And me love her to pieces. But she really wanted to catch up with her family.

Cookie, Richie & Keith at Blijdorp

O boy o boy me is waaaaaaaaaaay behind on me stories here. Well… no need to skip ahead, me just gonna tell you about the things me did a few months ago. Me love meeting me friends. Last year me had a meeting with Candy the Sheep in Amsterdam. She is from Germany and was in the neighbourhood for Coffee, Cookies and Cuddles. That was the first time me had a meet-up with another plushie me know from Instagram! But… this year me already had so many meet-ups! Me will tell all about them. But me start with the first Instameet (an Instagram Meeting) of the year. Let’s go back to January!

Cookie in Belize – sort of…

Hello dear readers. The year is almost over and although me love the winter time, me was shaking from the cold yesterday and today too. Boy, there was loads of icey water coming from the sky! On wintery days like this, me love to sit in me fave chair, get a cup of cocoa and a plate filled with nommy cookies (chocolate chippies, ofcourse) and look at pictures of the Summer. Let me take you with me on me little vacation trip to the warm Mangrove of… no, me did not fly to Belize, but it felt like being in Belize. Why? Well, because Burgers Zoo in Arnhem build a little piece of Belize, just in their own zoo.

Cookie loves panda bears

You know me love going to the zoo, right? Well in the Netherlands we have lots of zoos. One even more special than the other. One of me fave zoos is Ouwehands Dierenpark, because they have this amazing bearforest and polar bears and penguins, gorillas and African elephants and… panda bears! They live here since this Spring and are called Wu Wen (the girl) and Xing Ya (the boy). Ofcourse me went to visit them. It a while ago though, but me wanted to show you anyways. It was amazing. These bears are so beautiful!

Cookie loves Texel – vacation 2017

WHOA it been a while since me got the time to write some blogs! Berry is helping me planning it out, so no worries, me no have left yet. It been a while too since me has been on vacation. Me had a great time on Texel (again) this year. Me visited the seals at Ecomare again, but also for the first time went to Texel Zoo. Cookie at the Keukenhof - part 3

Hello everybody! Here me is again with the third and last part about me visiting the Keukenhof. You must know, Keukenhof only opens 8 weeks per year in the springtime. The first time on March 21 was because Berry was invited for the opening of the season. The second time on April 11 we went for the opening of the orchid exhibit and the blessing of the flowers for the Vatican. And the third – and sadly last time this season – was on May 18. Berry took her nan and me took Bamboo to admire the flowers. Needless to say they were both in awe with the beauty of Keukenhof.

Cookie at the Keukenhof – part 2

Yes me know! Me know! Me is far behind on writing me stories on me blog. Me know. Me sorry. It Berry her fault really. She has been hogging the laptop for months now. Well, me no can complain, because me proud of her working so hard. And me profits from it too. So… no complaining from me. But me sorry it took a while to tell more about the second time me visited Keukenhof. It was April 11th and we went to Lisse because the flowers for the Pope would be blessed that day before they were send off to the Vatican to decorate the square on Easter morning. After the official press moment, we were allowed to visit the rest of the park. And boy did we had fun!

Fun in Oberhausen with Lego’s and SeaLife

It already a while ago, but me had so much fun me needed to do a blog about it anyway. On March 1st Berry took her brother, his wife and kids with her to Oberhausen in Germany. You see, she had a press thingy for her blog and this time she could share it with everybody. So after rubbing the sleep out of me googly eyes – we had to get up real early – we took a road trip to Germany. It promised to be a very fun day!

Cookie at the Keukenhof ~ part 1

As you may know me bestie Berry is a writer slash blogger slash reporter (hey, me learned all me reporting skills from her, cuz she also a writing coach). Last week me received a letter from little Hedwig to come to Hogwarts. First me was sorted by the sorting hat and then… Then me went to the Common Room. Me even got to see the bedroom of Harry and Ron! Wow it felt like a dream… maybe it was a dream… Well actually me went with Berry to the press preview of Harry Potter The Exhibition and it was amazing! Let me tell you all about it! Having a Day of Vacation at the Vacation Expo

Since me bestie Berry is a freelance text writer and blogger, she has visited many great expo’s, openings, zoos and museums. For the third year in a row now she took me to ‘de Vakantiebeurs’, or Vacation Expo in Dutch. This expo is huge in the Netherlands and is visited by many people, also from abroad. It starts on Tuesday with a day for press and professionals and ends on Sunday. So it takes up almost a week! The purpose of the expo is that travel bureaus promote their accommodations and destinations so you can find the vacation of your dreams. It awesome. You can travel the whole world… in just one day!
