Tea & Dinner with Alma and Dolly

It was a rainy day, June 12th 2019, when me met up with Alma and Dolly in Utrecht. We wanted to go to the nijntje Museum, but the weather was not that good. So… we decided to go for tea, coffee and some nommies at the café of the Oude Hortus. It can be found in Utrecht as part of the Universiteits Museum Utrecht at the Lange Nieuwstraat. It was the first time me and Dolly would meet Alma and we were sooooo excited to see her! (pictures by Berry de Nijs)

Instameets by the sea

Ah the sea. Me love the sandy beaches, the soaring seagulls and the waves rolling on to the beach… it so soothing… Luckily in the Netherlands we have loads of beaches to choose from. There are many great places to go and it even better with friends! That why over the Summer me had not one but two instameets by the sea. Me gonna tell you all about them.

An awesome instameet in Artis

On May 27 me and Berry hopped on the train to Amsterdam to meet our sweet friends Tessa and Woody (of Richie and Keith the rebels) for some quality fun in the sun. We decided to go to Artis again. Me was a little nervous about that, because well… because of the last time me was there and that horrible eye accident (me told you about that in me previous post). But Berry promised me this time Artis would be only fun. And you know what… she was totally right!

Instameets at Keukenhof 2018

Me love Keukenhof – but me bet you knew that already. It too bad me have to wait till next year for the Tulip Gardens to open again. But, in the meantime me have lots of great pictures and memories to look back on from this year. Me was lucky enough to have visited the Keukenhof 5 times this year: 3 times for Berry her work/blog and 2 times with friends for instameet (and one in prompt instameet hihi). Me very first instameet

Writing about all these cool instameets me had this year so far made me think about the one me had with Candy, Wendy and Henry last year in Amsterdam. You know, it was me very, very, very, very first instameeting and me and Berry were a lil nervous for it and very excited too. Let me tell you more about that day.

I went to the zoo – a blog by Hope

I went on an adventurous assignment to the Fort Worth Zoo earlier in May. I had never been to a zoo before. It was a warm day and we had packed our lunch with peanut butter and grape jelly sandwiches, ginger ale and some fruit and a package of Oreo cookies. I was hungry as soon as we arrived, but I’m always hungry. This zoo was founded in 1909 and when it opened it had a lion, 2 bear cubs, a peacock, an alligator, a rabbit and a coyote. It now has 435 species and does conservation work and is listed as a top zoo in the USA. It spans 64 acres.

A whole weekend with friends

Instameets are awesome! After having fun with Richie & Keith and with Jaques & Jaqueline me had a whole weekend of Intstameet fun waiting for me in March. We had a Dutch meet-up with coffee and lunch on March 3 and on March 4 me met up with Snoopy and his lovely Tour de France Nijntje friend. So without further ado, let me tell you more about it!

Last month you could meet one of me blogging friends called Hope. This week me want to introduce you to Tipsy Cat Bose. But me can call her just Tipsy. She is a travelling lady with a blog about all her travels. She has been to so many cool places already! She is also the Chief Editor of Pet’s Mews, a very cool Newspaper for and by plushies about what matters in our lives. Me have written some articles for Pet’s Mews already and sometimes me dear Tipsy surprises me by placing a picture of me in her paper! It so cool. Me love her very much. Cookie in Belize – sort of…

Hello dear readers. The year is almost over and although me love the winter time, me was shaking from the cold yesterday and today too. Boy, there was loads of icey water coming from the sky! On wintery days like this, me love to sit in me fave chair, get a cup of cocoa and a plate filled with nommy cookies (chocolate chippies, ofcourse) and look at pictures of the Summer. Let me take you with me on me little vacation trip to the warm Mangrove of… no, me did not fly to Belize, but it felt like being in Belize. Why? Well, because Burgers Zoo in Arnhem build a little piece of Belize, just in their own zoo.

Unboxing: Hope’s Tea Party Parcel

You know Bear Boss Hope from Honeygrove? She hosts the Tea Party Tuesday every Tuesday on Instagram. Also Hope has her own website: HoneyGroveBears.com where she keeps a diary and you can find her cool Tea Party Parcels there. Those are really awesome. She carefully handpicks all the pieces that go in there. Everything is handmade by local artists and such and that makes owning such a box extra special. Hope also puts a lot of thought in the little gifts and themes of the box. Now, me wanted to surprise me bestie Berry, so me borrowed her credit card and bought the Winter Tea Party Parcel for Berry. Together we opened the box and are so delighted with everything that was in the small box! We gonna show you every piece.

Cookie & Frights at the Harry Potter expo

Hello everybody, here me is again with yet another blog about Harry Potter. Remember me told ya me went to the press preview of Harry Potter the Exhibition in February? Well, before me visited Star Wars Identities, me and Frights decided to visit the Harry Potter expo again at the end of August, before the expo would leave our city again. Well… we took Berry with us, because someone had to ride her bike to get us there right hee hee. The three of us had a blast again. We even heard Voldemort talk to us in the Chamber of the Dark Arts – That was really scary!

Plushie Fashion Week 2017: The Cat Hat Collection

You know me have a best friend who makes all me clothes right? She also like to make scarfs and hats and Cookie pins for me friends on Instagram. You can read more about that in this months’ edition of Pet’s Mews - me friends totally surprised us with that article! Well, in September me very good and sweet friend Tipsy Cat Bose - editor in chief at Pet’s Mews – decided it was time to host the first annual #plushiefashionweek2017. Cookie at the Keukenhof - part 3

Hello everybody! Here me is again with the third and last part about me visiting the Keukenhof. You must know, Keukenhof only opens 8 weeks per year in the springtime. The first time on March 21 was because Berry was invited for the opening of the season. The second time on April 11 we went for the opening of the orchid exhibit and the blessing of the flowers for the Vatican. And the third – and sadly last time this season – was on May 18. Berry took her nan and me took Bamboo to admire the flowers. Needless to say they were both in awe with the beauty of Keukenhof.

A is for… the Altravelalphabet

Me have to admit! Me love doing alphabets almost as much as me love eating cookies. Well… almost. Me buddy Dušana, also known of the Instagram account Altravelbunny, celebrated his birthday by exploring the Alphabet with words that are associated with traveling, wonder, nature and the environment. Dušana have been travelling the world, swapping humans on the go, for quite some time before returning home to his human friend, so he has seen a lot of the world. So celebrating his birthday he took us on a trip around the Alphabet all February. It was awesome to spend time and thought in this alphabet. Because me loved the #altravelalphabet so much, me wanted to show you all me pictures me used for Dušana’s alphabet with you in an article. Me hope you will love it too!

2016: An Awesome Year on Instagram

Me know me not blogging much lately, but me promise me will post more stories next year. It not that me no is online. Me is having so much fun on Instagram. After getting real serious on there last year in the Summer me gained over 3000(!) family, friends and followers! Me feel so blessed! Let me tell you more about the awesome Instayear!

Meet Mackenzie, the brown bear from Ouwehands

Hey everybody. After the vacation blog madness me is back again with some other stuff. Boy o boy are we spoiled with a beautiful Indian Summer. It really was a heatwave out here. Me no mind though. It perfect weather to go outside. On September 2nd Berry took the day off so we could go to Ouwehands Dierenpark (Ouwehands Zoo) in Rhenen, the Netherlands. Me have been to that zoo before, and last year me told about in a blog called Have me told about… Ouwehands Dierenpark?. Me reserved a big part of that blog to talk about the Bear Forest. Me tell you this, because this time our visit was focussed on the Bear Forest too. You see… they just opened a new exhibit room and Berry wanted to blog about it on her website. Me know Earth Hour was a while ago, but me had no time yet to talk about it to you all. Remember: Cookie Report Earth Hour Challenge. Me asked me friends to also enjoy Earth Hour at March 19 during their local time. And because me has friends all over the world, we made a huge wave all over the globe, letting people know we love Momma Earth.
