Kingsday

Hello Everybody! Tomorrow is it Kingsday in the Netherlands. Actually our King his birthday is on the 27th of April, but because that is a Sunday we celebrate it on Saturday. It really is a special occasion. It also is the first time we celebrate Kingsday. Last year we had Crowningsday when our Queen gave the crown to her son.

The most fun thing about Kingsday is that me can dress up in orange. Orange is the national colour of The Netherlands and our Royal family, so everybody will be dressed in orange. Or in the colours of the national flag (red, white and blue). The party will start tonight and will go on tomorrow. Tonight there will be music and partying in the streets. Tomorrow we have an open street sale. Like garage or yard sale, but a little different.

Me is still looking for the best outfit. Do you like me wig? Maybe me just celebrates with orange cakes and cookie…
