You all know me loves a good party right. Because when there is party, me can boogie and eat delicious snacks. Well, me friend Berry and her family likes to party too. Berry hosts Halloween once a year and we celebrate the birthday of Sinterklaas every 5 December. And ofcourse me will not forget about Christmas! Tomorrow is New Year’s Eve. O boy O boy, that will be fun too. Staying up late! Right now, me will post some pictures of Halloween, Pakjesavond and Christmas. Me had a blast. Until next time!
Me is back with another fun ‘Have me told about…?’ blog. Yes yes, me have to talk about me last visit at Apenheul of the season. Yes me went there to visit a baby orang-utan before Christmas, but me means the regular season. You must know that this Monkey and Apes zoo closes after Fall break. Most animals retreat to their warm indoor habitats during the colder autumn and winter days. The people of Apenheul uses the wintertime to rebuild or remodel the habitats so the animals have more or new things to climb in and play with. So… Berry and me wanted to say goodbye to the apes and monkeys of the zoo and went to Apenheul on October 30th. Almost at the end of Fall break.
You know me love art right? Me love to draw and color in me coloring books. But me also love to visit a museum or two. With me friend Berry me have been to the Van Gogh Museum three times last year. But the last time, me loved it the best. That was already back in September (told ya me is a bit behind on me blogging). So we went to the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam for this special exhibit of art made by Vincent van Gogh and Edvard Munch!
Even me have to think about this one digging deep in me memory. It has been a while since me visited Blijdorp in Rotterdam last September. We went there just to relax after a Summer full of work. Well… Berry needed that more than me though. But me no did care, me love to go to a zoo. The Rotterdam Zoo of Blijdorp is a very, very big zoo with loads of gorgeous animals and habitats. Me took a picture with a penguin and saw this amazing Okapi! It happened on September 25th 2015. Me is not going to write much about it, just watch the pictures! Me is sitting here in front of all kinds of gorgeous, old and traditional instruments. It was quite the shot to take, me sat on the railing of the balcony, because the instruments were hanging from the ceiling. Where it was, you ask? Well, it was at the Afrika Museum in Berg en Dal, the Netherlands. Berry went there for her blog and me – of course – tagged along! And me is so glad me did. So… Have me told about Afrika Museum?
Hello! It almost Christmas, so me want to blog some more ‘Have me told about…?’ blogs so me can keep up with everything me want to talk about. Today me want to go back to October 1st: a nice Thursday. This day me, Ploon and the doggies (Berry babysits once a week) went to our favorite park: DierenPark Amersfoort. Well it kinda is our favorite because Berry can bring Sammie. The park has gorgeous animals and a lot of new habitats for them. O and yummy sandwiches too… Maybe you have seen some of me pictures about this day on Instagram.
Hi there! Me is back again with another ‘Have me told about…?’ blog to catch everyone – meself too – up to speed with everything me want to blog about. It was a beautiful day. Not too sunny. But the animals were happy about that and playing and chilling outside. Me love it there. Especially the bear forest.

Hi everybody. Me know! Me haven’t been writing much lately. That because me is having too much fun with all me new friends on me Instagram account, but also because Berry has been hoarding the laptop. She is a very sweet friend and all – she knits the best sweaters – but she has been busy with work so me could not get any computer time. And ofcourse it has been a very busy November. Me planning to write more this month though. Starting off with a story about me new friend Texel.
O boy! It is another World Animal Day today. This time it is all for the magnificent Snowleopards. Me have only encountered them once when me visited a Zoo in France last year. Me told all about it in Zooreport: Zoo des 3 Vallées. Me thought they were so majestic and just beautiful. This day is important though, because Snowleopards are losing their natural habitats. And that is just sad. So me hope this day helps to remember to save Snowleopards all over the world!
Hello everybody. In June me went on a great vacation for 1 week to the Dutch Waddenisland Texel. Hi everybody. Here is me again with part II of me vacation blogs. In part I me told you all about the island Texel. Well there is lots to see besides towns and sheep – although me really love sheep… – because the island has a lot of national parks and nature scenery too. There are forests, dunes and De Slufter (pronounce it as The Sluv-ter). Me visited this particular piece of nature twice while me stayed on the island. Both times it was magnificent and totally different. Me hope the pictures will give you an impression of how beautiful this piece of nature is…
Hello everyone. Me is back again with a great holiday. Today, August 12, it is World Elephant Day. Me love elephants. They are huge, but are also sweet and cuddly. Me never sat upon a real elephant, but me like to sit on top of the real statues at the zoos in the Netherlands. It is amazing to look at elephants. These giants are so gentle and only are fighting if it is truly necessary. That is why it makes me so sad when me hears baby elephants get orphanaged because of hunters shooting the elders of the family. Me thinks this must stop so maybe, just maybe me can one day see one in the wild. In the meantime, me will enjoy the elephants me can visit at the zoo! Me sure love elephants. Do you?
Hello everyone. Today, August 10, it is World Lion Day, or International Lion Day. Today we remember that lions are beautiful big cats. And no trophies. We must protect the lions. Me love going to watch the lions at the zoo. They often come to greet me. Me sometimes want to pet them, but me know better not to. But when there are sleeping and the manes look so soft... Ah well. Me think it is safe to cuddle through the glass when they are sleeping. Me softly sing too. A weeeeeeeee a weee a wim o way. What do you think? Do you love Lions too?

Me could stay with me dolphin and walrus friends until 9 pm! Awesome huh. It was all sunny today and there was lots of cool music, real Caribbean. And beautiful dancers too. Hello again! As you know, me – Cookie – has been on vacation to the Dutch Island Texel (you pronounce it as Tassle, but you can say Tex-el too). It is the largest of the Dutch Waddenislands. Me talked about them in Cookie’s Alphabet: W is for…. Texel is a very green island and you can encounter sheep almost at every meadow. But me saw much more there. It is International Tiger Day! This means today we contemplate and think of how we can save the endangered tigers. Because if we all do not do something, then there will be only tigers living in the zoo. And that is not right. Me sure do love tigers. Me like to think they like me too. Me saw a lot of them at the zoos me visit. Do you love tigers too?
Yes ! Me is one happy little Monster. Tomorrow the Tour de France is starting in the town where me live. Yes it will start in Utrecht, the Netherlands. And maybe me will go watch it all live in the city this weekend. Me is so excited! Berry even made me me own yellow jersey. You know. They winner of the Tour gets a yellow jersey. Hey… does this mean me won?
